When the snow starts to fall usually flights start booking for Florida or some tropical island with crystal clear waters where you sip an alcoholic beverage from a coconut. But for me, I did not venture to any exotic island, I went to Vermont.

I have never seen snow before. I am 22 years old and this was the first time I felt the fluffy ice crunch underneath my feet. Oh what a wonderful feeling it was. This Florida mermaid was a mermaid no more, snow bunny was the new me.

Now I do have to say that when the temperature reached in the 30’s one day we were all jumping for joy. Us southern kids can only take so much bone numbing weather. But our last day of what seemed like the fastest trip of my life, we spent in NEW YORK CITY. Now I come from a family that literally never travels. So for me going to California, Vermont, AND THEN New York in one year, it’s all my dreams coming true.
2017 is here and this year I haven’t made my usual list of goals or New Year’s Resolutions. For this year I’m just going to follow my heart and see where the path leads me. Though working on the summer bod is definitely a goal sitting in the back of my head. Happy New Year little ones. Next Stop: VEGAS! WOOHOO! Maybe this will become my travel blog…hmm.
